you were never the problem. the ceiling was.

{tldr; this is a long IMPORTANT ramble... but don't miss the info about my upcoming training at the end.}

I've been thinking a lot about *identity* lately, Reader.

In late March through early April, my sweet pup, Macy, wasn't doing well.
And on some mornings, she wasn't in the mood to walk with me.

I still went every morning - Alone. AND IT SUCKED.

On one of those solo walks, this struck me to my core...

A big part of my identity IS NOT being a person who takes a walk every morning.
It's actually: being a person who takes a walk every morning with my dog.

So when I got the heartbreaking news about Macy a week later ~ I knew I needed another dog right away.

Not to replace her.
But because so much of who I am IS having a dog/companion.
Being a person who walks with my dog.

This is core to my mental health, and how I want to be seen in the world.
I didn't even realize it until I was hit with the fact that I was not going to have my walking companion.

Another big part of my identity is being a *SOLO EXPERT.*

What this means is using my decades of expertise to help others grow their business.
It means embracing the ability to run a small, flexible business AND earn big.
It means NOT following the pack, or answering to anyone. #donttellmewhattodo

Being a *Solo Expert* is NOT the small, baby version of success.
​It's a real identity to be proud of and embody.​
And for a lot of us, it's the version we actually wanted, but didn't think was truly possible.

We didn't have the tools to earn big AND stay small.
It always felt like we had to choose between earn big OR stay small.

We were capped by time and capacity.

So "hire people" became the answer.
But that's not true anymore.

AI has truly changed the "time-continuum."​
And it's a good thing for Solo Experts because we can scale the thing that always made us powerful ~ our expertise, voice, judgment ~ without needing to hire or expand to do it.

*Earn Big. Stay Small.* isn't just my tagline.
It's part of the ethos baked into being a Solo Expert.

It means you get to build a business that reflects the caliber of your expertise ~ without becoming a manager, recruiter, HR, or payroll department you never wanted.

So ~ I'm dying to know...
